About Places in Maine:

Jewell Island, Maine
I frequent Jewell Island and it's a great place to visit but when you live in Maine with its overbearing govt. and stagnant economy it's hard to find good recreation spots where you can really cut loose and let your hair down without someone putting the nix on it.So to all you cruisers who just want piece and quiet it can be found between the four walls of your house.Although Jewell Island is quiet for the most part it does take on a bit of a party atmosphere in the summer, hence the name cocktail cove.Come,Enoy,Live and let live!!- Posted by: A local
Bangor Hydro (serving Leonard Lake)
No overnight parking is allowed, carry in boat launch only, good spot to catch smallmouth bass and white perch.- Posted by: rb-mdi
East Machias (serving Hadley Lake)
This site is great. BUT one huge problem I'm from out of state and I need the ADDRESS of the boat launches I look up. Therefore this site is useless to me because I see there is a boat launch but I have no idea how to get there, and no idea if the location that you have the marker on is the actual boat ramp or not. NOT GOOD.- Posted by: Laura
