Boating Floatplan Maker

A Float Plan is given to a friend or a marina before you sail away. It essentially says "If I'm not back by a certain time, assume something is wrong, and contact the Coast Guard. Here's how they can find me..."

Experienced trailer sailors know that a Float Plan is for the 0.001% of the time that something goes wrong, such as engine failure, sudden storm, lost at sea, hull breach, medical emergency and man overboard.

With Float Plan Maker You Can:

  • Enter repeating information in a template (e.g., boat description);
  • Create a new float plan based on the template;
  • Save as many plans as you wish;
  • Retrieve saved plans at a later time;
  • Print a professional looking plan (blank fields are surpressed);
  • E-mail a backup copy to yourself or a friend;
  • Keep old plans until you choose to delete them.
  • Add a journal page linked to the plan after the adventure is over!
