Within a few minutes of
The Basin (on the New Meadows River in Casco Bay, Maine) is a quaint little harbor known as Cundys. Dotted with moored lobster and working boats, you must carefully weave your way in. Cundys is a working harbor first; you won't find temporary moorings here. (But do check out
The Basin, which is a great place to anchor. Then come over to Cundys to eat!)
Supplies and Fuel in Cundys Harbor, Maine
Watson's is a small country store on the water where you can pick up basic supplies, water, ice and fuel. Try some of their fresh sandwiches if you are hungry. Holbrooks Lobster House in Cundys Harbor, Maine
For most visiting boaters, Holbrooks is the highlight of Cundys Harbor. Pull up to their floating dock and tie off to have some of the best seafood and fries found near and wide. You can sit on a large raised desk overlooking Cundys Harbor and the New Meadows River. Choose open deck or in the shade.
Another standout when visiting the restaurant is their care and concern about your visit. The staff and owner may welcome you on arrival then ask how everything was on departure. Service and concern like this is a rarity anywhere. Their prompt and pleasant service back up the pleasantries. All in all having lunch there is a fun and tasty experience
Call Holbrooks at (207) 729-9050.
There's plenty of water at Holbrooks for our small sailboat to arrive centerboard down.
Hawkes Lobster - Next to Holbrooks Lobster House

Situated next to Holbrooks is Hawkes Lobster where you can pick up, among other things, fresh lobster literally just off the boat. While there check out some of the local crafts on display.
Holbrooks General Store
Recently opened after a hiatus, you can get food supplies in Holbrooks General Store located next to the lobster house.
The store is currently on the market for sale. This has caused the community and interested persons to band together in an effort to buy the store to preserve the "working waterfront." It's really about preserving the character of Cundys Harbor which is, after all, at the core of the entire community. You can read more about it
here.
Conclusion
If you are heading along the New Meadows, Cundys Harbor is a must-stop at place to pick up some lunch, fuel and supplies - then continue on your way, as there are no other facilities for pleasure boaters. Enjoy the character of a true Maine working waterfront and harbor.
